Commercial Litigation

Ashley represents companies and business owners in many different industries with respect to business-related disputes involving contracts, fraud, construction, real estate, banking and finance, trade secrets, consumer law claims, and various other commercial issues.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LITIGATION

For many years Ashley has prosecuted and defended trademark infringement and dilution cases for clients in federal courts across the United States, as well as proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.  

He has represented companies who own some of the most famous and valuable trademarks in the world.  Ashley also enjoys counseling and assisting local and smaller businesses in this area of law.

Ashley has experience with many other types of intellectual property disputes as well. Examples include copyright disputes and related issues, trade secret litigation, trade dress claims, counterfeit goods, breach of computer network security, and John Doe suits to identify individuals involved in illegal Internet activities.

Product Liability, Medical Malpractice, and Other Personal Injury Litigation

Ashley has represented clients in product liability, wrongful death, and other personal injury cases throughout Texas.

He has also represented clients in health care liability suits—including medical malpractice and nursing home negligence.  His cases span many different types of medical specialties. 

Ashley also has experience at a number of levels working on mass tort cases including asbestos lawsuits, pharmaceutical litigation, and chemical exposure claims against companies in the semiconductor industry.

Employment LITIGATION

Ashley has significant experience representing both plaintiffs and employers in employment lawsuits. His experience includes prosecution and defense of cases involving race and sex discrimination, sexual harassment, age discrimination, disability discrimination, and many other variations.

He has also handled disputes on both sides of the docket that involve employee confidentiality issues, theft of trade secrets, and non-competition agreements.
